Oxford defines art as:
“The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination … producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”
That’s our foundation.
Art is — by definition — human.

At Black Bay, we use tools.
We use reference images. We use software. We might even use AI for research, organizing thoughts, or gathering ideas — the same way you’d use a map, a library, or a lens.
But AI will never create for us.

-
It will never finalize our scripts.
-
It will never direct our films.
-
It will never define our stories, characters, or vision.
The final product will always be human-made, by hand, by heart, by intention.
We reject the idea that creativity can be automated.
We reject the notion that typing a prompt equals authorship.
We reject the flood of synthetic, soulless content drowning out real work.
We believe:

-
Meaning isn’t generated — it’s earned
-
Story isn’t assembled — it’s lived
-
Creativity isn’t code — it’s blood, breath, time, and soul

Black Bay is a human studio. And it always will be.
